16x20"Film Holder
NEW - Old Stock
I believe this to be:
Made by: AWB Alan Brubaker custom holder
Fits: Jason Myrold Custom 16x20 camera
See detail photos - you will need a specific camera back to handle this holder
The seating square is 16 3/8" x 21 3/4" -- notice there are rubber bump-ons on this portion (not sure why - they can be removed, seems to me it would ruin the light-sealing qualities of this ridge)
Positive-locking sides - red thumbscrews - notice these and other hardware sticks out from edges - this will need to be factored in to any slide-in back you may be using
Red thumbscrews appear to be the weak spot - the machining/tap is somewhat precarious inside and screws can be fully removed (so be careful when loading you don't drop one of these suckers and have to scramble in the dark for it!)
NO darkslide locks - yeah, you read that right - no darkslide locking mechanism - if it were me, I'd drill a small hole and add a pin or find some way to add a bit of extra security for my expensive sheet of film in transport
Nice quality septum
Beautiful woodwork
Nice, smooth darkslides
Foam that holds film in place is nice - there is a minor split in one area, looks like it will not affect light-tightness --- I'd suggest loading 2 sheets of photo paper (much cheaper and easier to process than film) and sit this in the sun for a couple days to check for any leaks prior to 1st use (it's prudent: just like you'd test a waterproof camera setup BEFORE flying to a location!)
Hinging is good and solid - nice they used a piano hinge so you're not relying on 2 or 3 dinky ones - hinging should last a lifetime
Metal rails and accents for giving this some great structure and wear-point longevity

Measurements? Ask! I'll measure whatever you want. Best to figure out now if it'll fit your needs than after it's shipped!
Expect to CLEAN & DUST thoroughly prior to 1st use (and ideally before you load every time)
Use high resolution monitor to best gauge cosmetic condition
