Here is what I guess you would call a syrup pitcher (though it seems a little big for that); I have no idea what glass company might have made it (maybe Cambridge?, but there's no mark), but it probably dates from the late 1920's or 1930's, based on the color and style (if anybody knows, please feel free to enlighten me).Whoever made it or when, it's about 7" tall with the lid on (5-3/4" at the sides). It's about 5-3/4" from handle to spout and about 2-7/8" across the top opening (the base is about 3-1/8" by 2-1/2"). The bottom part is in nice shape with no nicks, chips, fleabites, or other damage (a few minor scuffs and light scratches maybe, but nothing major or noticeable). The glass lid is in pretty good shape: the inside lip doesn't even have any fleabites, which is really unusual for something like this, but there is a flake on the underside of the back corner, and a smaller flake on the top side on the edge just about a 1/4" away from the first one. So, the lid did pick up a couple of battle scars over the past 80-some years, but it's in reasonably good shape, and looks fantastic on display. I was tempted to call it uranium or vaseline glass, because it really looks fantastic when the light's hitting it a certain way (I don't know if that has any significance really, and I don't have a blacklight). Anyway, I've got way too much glass in my life and am constantly buying more, so this needs a new home.
