U.S.ARMY Roll Film Magazine for PH-631 Aerial Reconnaissance Camera. Prototype?

$ 92.37

Availability: 100 in stock

Description

Here's a BIG, Heavy Roll Film Magazine for some sort US Army Signal Corps or Airforce Reconnaissance Camera--- model # PH-631 XM1/GF.  It looks like it's from the World War II or Korean War Era.  It was made by the Kalart Company of Plainville, Connecticut and an interesting thing is the
Serial Number plate says Number 1
.  Maybe it's the first one made, maybe it's a Prototype... I don't know.  Whatever it was for, the Images captured are BIG--- about 5x7 inches.
Anyway... even without that it's gotta be pretty Rare. It takes some sort of big size film format---- the magazine mounts to a camera and you pull the dark slide and voila!   It's in Very Good Condition--- some slight wear showing--- a few nicks and scuffs, but nothing broken obviously and I think it will work... the knobs turn etc.   It's got some sort of strange plastic square plate glued on the back, but that spot serves no purpose as the whole case is solid machined metal.  I don't know if you can get film for it, so it's sold pretty much for collectible purposes--- no guarantees on it's usability.   What you see is what you'll get--- the actual items for sale is pictured... please examine the photos.
It's pretty big and heavy--- will be about 12 lbs boxed.  So Continental US Shipping will be .00.  It will be packed well and safe.  International Shipping via the ebay program and will likely be expensive.
PLEASE READ THIS--- By Bidding you Agree that: I am not Amazon or a professional Camera Store seller--- just a pragmatic collector/shooter selling some Used items. I'm not here trying to rip anybody off or sneak one past you, but that said... I'm not into having things go back and forth based on opinion, or risk "part swapping."  So I'm sorry, I can't sell item on Approval, it's being sold As Is, No Warranty, No Returns. Any significant defects that I know of are either pictured or described to the best of my knowledge. I try to be detailed and truthful but I can't describe every every inch of it, so there may be a nick or blemish or a few specs of dust that I failed to mention... but they would hardly diminish it... unless you expect everything to be 100% Perfect and Better than dscribed.  What you see is what you'll get and I package my items well, so it arrives in the same condition as shown.
SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE Interesting Items---- I'll be selling a large portion of my camera collection over the next few months, so check back and/or tell me what you're looking for.
