Vintage Chinese Cloisonne "Plique-a-Jour" Translucent Bowl with Lid

Description

Vintage Chinese Cloisonne Translucent Bowl with Lid Handmade in the elaborate "Plique-a-Jour" (French for "letting daylight in") Enameling Technique in which Color Enamel are Fused inside a Network of Copper Wire or Cells.  This Process is often referred to as "Invisible or Backless Cloisonne".  This 436 gram (almost 1 lb.) 8 1/4" Tall X 6" Round Bowl has a Multi Color Floral Display of Blooms & Butterflies and a 5" Diameter Opening.  The Bowl has 2 Ornate Gold Lion's Head with Movable Rings on Either Side and supported by 3 Ornate Gold Lion's Head Legs.  The Metal 3/4" Band on the Bowl Top features Colorful Pierced Plique-a-Jour Floral Work similar to the 1" Band found on the Lid Bottom.  A Gold Flower Bud Top is affixed on the Dome Lid.  The 2 3/8" Tall X 6 1/2" Round 309 gram 3-Legged Dark Brown Finish Wooden Stand comes with the Bowl bringing the Total Height to 10 1/2".  From my Personal Collection.  REASONABLE OFFERS please.
